Sunset Road is an interactive first-person music video that takes inspiration from the popular Japanese City Pop genre. Through this project, the artist aims to capture the essence of the era in which this music was most popular - the bubble economy. By immersing the audience in an interactive game, Sunset Road allows them to experience the fleeting but enduring joy that defined that period. The video is divided into three distinct scenes, each of which features meticulously crafted models that were primarily created by the artist.
The project was built using Unity, a powerful game engine, and the mechanics were programmed using C#. Through the use of innovative technology and a deep appreciation for the unique cultural moment that inspired it, Sunset Road represents a powerful and engaging exploration of the music, history, and cultural context of Japanese City Pop.
